Job Summary
Role Overview:
As a THT Quality Controller, you are responsible for inspecting through-hole technology (THT) soldering and assembly processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and product specifications. You perform visual and automated inspections, identify defects, and support corrective actions. This role requires strong knowledge of PCBA manufacturing, IPC standards, and hands-on inspection experience. Prior experience in THT inspection is essential.Primary Function:
To inspect THT soldering and assembly processes, identify defects, and ensure PCBA units meet quality standards and customer requirements.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform visual inspection of THT solder joints and component placement using magnification tools.
• Verify compliance with IPC-A-610 standards and customer specifications.
• Document inspection results and report non-conformities.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring defects.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure proper handling of PCBA units using ESD protection methods.
• Maintain inspection tools and equipment in good working conditions.
• Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure traceability and documentation of inspected units.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures.
• Support continuous improvement in THT soldering and quality control processes.
| Education level required |
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Instrumentation, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field. |
| Years and area of experience required |
•Minimum 5 years of experience in PCBA or Electronics components manufacturing with with a focus on THT inspection and quality control. |
| Technical knowledge |
• Strong understanding of THT soldering processes and PCBA layouts.
• Proficiency in IPC-A-610 inspection standards and criteria.
• Experience with magnification tools and automated inspection systems.
• Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and quality documentation.
• Knowledge of ESD safety procedures and defect classification. |
