| Job Responsibilities
• Operate the selective conformal coating machine or manual spray system safely and according to approved Work Instructions and training provided.
• Perform accurate masking and unmasking of components to protect areas that must not be coated.
• Conduct pre‑coating inspections to ensure boards are clean, dry, and ready for coating, verify components and areas requiring protection.
• Inspect boards after coating for coverage, thickness, cleanliness, masking quality, bubbles, voids, and other defects.
• Ensure proper curing of coatings using IR ovens or designated curing equipment, confirming results through visual inspection and measurement tools.
• Handle PCBs and assemblies carefully using correct ESD protection, cleanliness requirements, and handling procedures.
• Record coating parameters, batch information, inspection results, and production data accurately to support full traceability.
• Support coating trials, NPIs, and prototype builds by following instructions closely and sharing observations on coating behavior, masking challenges, and quality risks.
• Assist in improving daily work efficiency by providing feedback that helps optimize machine setup, masking techniques, and material usage.
• Collaborate with Area Shift Leaders, Engineers, Quality, Shift Leaders, and fellow operators to ensure stable coating processes and smooth flow between coating, curing, and inspection.
• Follow all safety, ESD, chemical handling, and ventilation requirements, keeping the work area clean, organized, and compliant with environmental and health standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by reporting recurring issues, suggesting simple improvements, and supporting waste reduction and quality enhancement initiatives. |
