Job Summary
Role Overview:
As a Test Operator, you are responsible for performing functional and in-circuit testing (ICT) of printed circuit board assemblies using both semi-automated and fully automated test systems. You also operate flying probe testers and other diagnostic equipment to ensure product quality and performance. Your role is critical in identifying defects, verifying functionality, and supporting production efficiency. Prior experience in PCBA testing is essential.Primary Function:
Operate and maintain PCBA test equipment, perform functional and diagnostic tests, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate ICT (In‑Circuit Test) systems, including semi‑automated and fully automated testers, following Work Instructions and product-specific test plans.
• Perform flying probe tests and functional testing using approved diagnostic tools, fixtures, and test software.
• Load and verify the correct test programs, part numbers, revisions, and test configurations before running any PCBA test.
• Monitor test execution, analyze test results, and identify basic faults, failures, or non‑conformities according to defined criteria.
• Perform simple test station checks such as fixture cleaning, pin verification, connector checks, and operator‑level calibration steps.
• Conduct required pre‑test safety checks, including grounding verification, insulation checks, and ensuring proper ESD setup before handling units.
• Document all test results clearly, including fail codes, observations, test durations, and unit disposition to ensure full traceability.
• Report defects, repeated failure patterns, equipment abnormalities, or unclear test results promptly to Area Shift Leaders or Shift Leaders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD‑safe test workstation, ensuring proper care of probes, connectors, cables, and fixtures.
• Follow all approved testing, retest, and basic debugging procedures within the operator scope.
• Collaborate with Shift Leaders, Area Shift Leaders, Engineers, Quality, Debug Technicians, and fellow operators to clarify failures, resolve issues, and maintain smooth test flow.
• Follow all safety, ESD, electrical handling, and test-equipment protocols to protect yourself, the product, and testing equipment.
• Support continuous improvement by reporting recurring failures, sharing operator insights, and helping improve test flow and defect reduction.

Education level required •High school diploma or technical vocational certificate required.
•Diploma or associate degree in electronics or manufacturing technology is an advantage.
Years and area of experience required •Minimum 2 years of experience in PCBA testing.
•Hands-on experience with ICT, flying probe, and functional test systems is required, especially with equipment from Takaya, Seica. Familiarity with these brands is a strong advantage.
Technical knowledge •Understanding of PCBA testing principles and fault diagnostics.
•Familiarity with ICT, flying probe, and functional test equipment.
•Ability to read and interpret test specifications, schematics, and test reports.
•Knowledge of ESD safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and calibration.
Soft skills •Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
