Job Summary
Role Overview:
As a Components Preparation Operator, you are responsible for preparing and inspecting electronic components before they are used in printed circuit board assembly. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality helps ensure that every component meets production standards and is ready for use in production.Primary Function:
To prepare, inspect, and organize electronic components for PCBA production, ensuring they are compliant with quality and safety standards, and available for timely use in the assembly line.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform component preparation tasks such as cutting, bending, forming, trimming, kitting, and taping according to Work Instructions and product specifications.
• Handle electronic components using correct ESD protection practices, including wrist straps, ESD mats, ionizers, and grounded tools.
• Receive and verify components against the production order, BOM, or kitting list, ensuring correct part numbers, quantities, and lot/batch information.
• Label, sort, and organize prepared components to ensure clear identification, traceability, and smooth flow to the next process (THT, SMT support, or assembly).
• Inspect components visually for damage, contamination, bent leads, or discrepancies before releasing them for use.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe preparation workstation, ensuring proper storage of components and adherence to 5S standards.
• Record component batch information, preparation details, and traceability data accurately in sheets or digital systems.
• Follow all safety, ESD, handling, and material‑storage procedures to prevent component damage or mix‑ups.
• Communicate with Warehouse, Production, or Material Handlers when encountering shortages, discrepancies, or incorrect material.
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Production Operators, Area Shift Leaders, and Quality staff to ensure component availability and correct preparation for smooth assembly operations.
• Follow all safety, ESD control, and handling protocols consistently, ensuring components and work areas remain protected and compliant.
• Support continuous improvement by reporting material issues, suggesting simplifications to preparation steps, and helping reduce waste and rework.

Education level required •High School Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electronics or a related field.
Years and area of experience required •Minimum 2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or PCBA production.
•Hands-on experience in component preparation and ESD-safe handling is preferred.
Technical knowledge •Basic understanding of electronic components and their functions.
•Familiarity with PCBA processes and preparation tools.
•Ability to read and interpret component drawings and specifications.
•Knowledge of ESD safety procedures and component handling standards.
